OBIETTIVI FORMATIVI
Il corso è finalizzato all’approfondimento delle principali strutture grammaticali di livello upper intermediate, in modo tale da mettere lo studente nella condizione di comprendere agevolmente testi di natura scientifica. La frequenza è fortemente raccomandata, soprattutto per chi parte da un livello di competenza linguistica molto basso. I frequentanti avranno la possibilità di svolgere una prova in itinere al termine del corso che, in caso di esito positivo, consentirà di verbalizzare in uno degli appelli ufficiali.

Brief revision of verb tenses (active and passive)
Used to (do) vs. To Be/Get Used to (doing)
It is said that… To be said to… To be supposed to…
Have something done
Relatives: Relative Pronouns, Defining vs. Non-Defining Relative Clauses.
Prepositions: At/On/In/Into for time, place and other uses, By for various uses. Nouns + prepositions.
Adjectives + prepositions. Verbs + prepositions.
The -ing Form and the Infinitive: Verbs + -ing, Verbs + to, Verbs + object + to, Verbs + -ing/to with a difference in meaning. Prepositions + -ing. Verbs + prepositions + -ing. Expressions + -ing.
Conjunctions and Prepositions: Although/Though/Even Though, In spite of/Despite, In case, Unless, As long as/Provided/Providing, As (for reason and time), As if/As though, For, During, While, By, Until.
