There are several thousand graduates in physical sciences in Italy who work outside the world of university and public research, in industry and services and in other activities. They are highly appreciated and make a significant contribution to the development of the country thanks to their innovative capacity and, in general, to the specificity of their skills.
But there is no order of physicists, such as engineers or chemists. This often has negative consequences for the professional development of physicists.
To protect the work of physicists and contribute to the recognition of the profession, the following association was recently set up
ANFeA (National Association of Physics and Applications).
