Location: GSSI, l'Aquila, Italy

The International Workshop “Challenges in Designing Room Temperature Superconductors”, funded by CECAM, PSIK, Universita' dell'Aquila and Regione Abruzzo,  will take place in l’Aquila, Italy, on July 26th-29th 2022 and  is co-organized by Lilia Boeri (Sapienza, Rome), Richard Hennig and Peter Hirschfeld (University of Florida), Gianni Profeta (University of l'Aquila), Antonio Sanna (MPI Halle) and Eva Zurek (University Buffalo, USA).

The program will feature contributions from international experts on high pressure research, computational material design, electronic structure theory and  superconductivity, who will give an overview of the current research in superconductor design, with a particular focus on recent discoveries in high-pressure hydrogen and hydrides and new methodological developments.  Attendance is free for all participants, but we kindly ask you to register to help us with the organisation.

Participants are welcome to submit an abstract for a poster contribution; the program will feature a session of flash presentations and a poster prize.

The deadline for registration is May, 31st, 2022.
