L'American Physics Society ha assegnato il Premio Lars Onsager 2016 a Giorgio Parisi, Marc Mezard e Riccardo Zecchina.
The Lars Onsager Prize is a prize in theoretical statistical physics awarded annually by the American Physics Society. It was established in 1993 by Drs. Russell and Marian Donnelly in memory of Lars Onsager.
Motivation:
“For groundbreaking work applying spin glass ideas to ensembles of computational problems, yielding both new classes of efficient algorithms and new perspectives on phase transitions in their structure and complexity.”
