Welcome to the High Energy Physics Theory Group in Rome
The
Rome High Energy Theory Group carries on the outstanding tradition started
by Fermi and his collaborators in the investigation of the fundamental
laws of Nature. The group is made up of about 20 faculty from the Physics Department at La Sapienza University and the INFN Rome division, various postdocs and several PhD students.
Our research covers a wide spectrum of topics in the study of formal aspects of field theory, phenomenology of particle physics, and cosmology. Our strongest interests include flavor physics, beyond the Standard Model physics, perturbative QCD, particle spectroscopy, lattice gauge theories, astroparticle physics, dark matter, cosmology, quantum gravity, quantum gauge theories and differential geometry, as well as various aspects of quantum field theory and statistical mechanics such as random models, spin glasses and neural nets. The group works in close collaboration with the experimental particle community in Rome, which has members participating in most of the major ongoing and future high-energy experiments. We also have strong interactions with our neighboring institutions, University of Roma Tre, University of Roma Tor Vergata and the INFN National Labs in Frascati.
